The second day of competition started at 10am from the podium of the Palamós promenade - at this time and in this scenario was also open the exhibition of old cars and the village - and ended 30 'past midnight the next day. Along the way, the teams run 15 specials, some of them quite long, requiring a plus of concentration that, together with the fatigue accumulated the previous day, became a tough challenge.
And who are the participants?
After leaving the motorcycles, the first car to get off the podium from 3 pm on the 26th was the tandem formed by David Nogareda-Sergi Giralt (Porsche 911 S), winners of the last edition of the RCBH and who therefore wanted revalidate the European title. Also the winners of 2017, Carles Fortuny-Carles Jiménez, who participate with the No. 2 in their Lancia Beta Coupé. With the 3 came Salvador Cañellas-Eloi Alsina (SEAT 124 Special 1800), leading team of SEAT Historic Cars. Victor Sagi-Víctor Sagi and Carles Miró-Iván Matavacas, both teams with Porsche 911, won the top 5 at the start, winning this event in 2015 and 2011, respectively.
In addition to the aforementioned, there are big names of the national regularity - with 61 teams - and foreigner in the list of registered, since it is not necessary to forget that a third of them, a total of 31, are foreign representing France, Great Britain , Germany, Portugal, Italy, Andorra and the Czech Republic.
In total and in cars there were 19 brands represented with a really spectacular cast of machines. Porsche was the most registered with a total of 21 units, followed by Volkswagen, with 13 and Seat, with 8. But there were also Lancia, Renault, Volvo, Morris, Opel, Austin, Ford, MG, Alfa Romeo, Mitsubishi, BMW , Audi, Autobianchi, Toyota, Peugeot and Nissan. The oldest car to come down from the podium was a Renault 4 CV (4/4) from 1955 by the British based in France, Ian Wright-Julie Wright. In motorcycles, seven are Honda and BMW and 2 Yamaha. Represent 16 units (8 double teams) among which winners of this rally as Jordi Martí-Xavi Tibau (Honda Africa Twin 650).
